What type of problems do people come to me to work on?

The problems are as varied as the individuals. I have been in practice for over 20 years in a variety of settings and had the opportunity to work with many types of issues. I have an interest in mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorders, anxiety. PTSD, relationship issues, and work issues. I am interest in helping people cope with life’s challenges what ever they maybe in an effective manner that promotes good relationships and a sense of wellness and peace of mind.

When can I expect if i come for counseling?

You will be welcomed into a pleasant, confidential, environment where I will take the time ti listen to you and understand your situation in order to determine how best to proceed with a plan of action for addressing your concerns. Counseling may involve homework, handouts of information to review, acquiring new skills to learn and practicing them, in addition to more traditional approaches involving talking about the issues.

What kind of therapy do you provide?

I have been trained in many different therapeutic approaches. I tend to do therapy that is more short term and solution focused. I tend to use what has been found through research to be most effective for a particular issue. However i always make an individualize plan and do that with the client . I am interested in how spirituality informs and supports recovery and tend to be rather ‘practical’ in my approach.
